Emerose LLC is the home for Sam Quigley’s consulting, software development, and new ventures. My background is in information security and technology leadership; my interests have taken me into everything from philosophy to biotech.
Consulting
Sometimes I write code. Sometimes I help founders and technical teams work through security, engineering, or management decisions. Often it’s a mix.
Past work has included cryptographic design for offline payments and hands-on security engineering and advice for consumer software companies. I’m open to projects outside those areas, too. An interesting problem and a good fit matter more than the category.
Biotech
Emerose incubated Kicho Inc., a biotechnology company developing a treatment for Dup15q syndrome. What began here grew into a separate company and a substantial drug-development effort.
Software
I also build software through Emerose, including independent projects and open-source tools. Some of it lives on GitHub.
An Emerose is something that is an emerald until time t, and a rose afterward. Weird, huh?
